Job description

The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer, based in Freetown, is primarily responsible for the development, management, and implementation of Welbodi Partnership’s monitoring and evaluation in-country. The post-holder will lead the organisation’s monitoring,evaluation, assessment, and learning (MEAL) activities, supporting the organisation’s M&E strategy and developing tools to maximise activity impact and data collection techniques. Specifically, the M&E Officer will work closely with Welbodi Partnership’s Paediatric Nurse Training Co-ordinator to monitor, evaluate, and report on the organisation’s Paediatric NurseTraining Programme in the Ola During Children’s Hospital.

Job description

Welbodi Partnership is recruiting a Paediatric Nurse Trainer who will implement the organisation's Paediatric Nurse Training Programme in the Ola During Children's Hospital. The Trainer will strive to improve patient safety and health outcomes for children by increasing both the volume and the quality of Continuing Professional Development among nursing staff. This will be achieved through the staged introduction of CPD modules, whilst also contributing to the development of mechanisms to strengthen the health system and embed a positive learning environment in the hospital.

The Trainer will divide their time between supporting the co-ordination, design,implementation and quality assurance of clinical education through Continuing Professional Development, systems strengthening and also direct engagement in Quality Improvement activities. They will support and mentor ODCH’s Head of Nurse Training, in helping to ensure the continuous implementation of high quality in-service training for nurses. The post-holder will support the MoHS to drive the development of a nationally-recognised accredited postgraduate training programme in paediatric nursing.
