Job description

Welbodi Partnership is recruiting a Country Manager who will be primarily responsible for the planning, management, and development of Welbodi Partnership’s work in-country, and will lead the in-country project and operational teams. The Country Manager will lead the clinical vision of the organisation, planning, developing, and co-ordinating appropriate medical/clinical projects and activities to improve the quality of care delivered at health facilities supported by Welbodi Partnership in Sierra Leone.

Job description

Welbodi Partnership is recruiting a Programmes Manager who will be responsible for the development, management, and delivery of Welbodi Partnership’s maternal health programmes in-country. The Programmes Manager will lead the design, planning, development, and co-ordination of appropriate medical/clinical projects and activities to improve the quality of care delivered at maternal health facilities supported by Welbodi Partnership in Sierra Leone.

Reporting to, and supported by, the Country Manager and Board of Directors, the Programmes Manager will be responsible for Welbodi Partnership’s maternal health programme management, including: ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects to support improved maternal health outcomes in Sierra Leone, supporting relevant programmes staff, donor reporting, monitoring and evaluation, and overseeing budget spend, whilst also building and maintaining relationships with partners within Sierra Leone.

Job description

Welbodi Partnership is recruiting a Technical Co-ordinator whose primary focus will be to support the project delivery of the organisation's rollout of the CRADLE Vital Signs Alert, a novel blood pressure monitoring device used to monitor pregnant women. The post-holder will support the Programmes Manager in the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of the rollout. This will involve meeting regularly with funding and implementing partners, maintaining regular communication with partners and health facility staff across Sierra Leone’s 16 Districts, leading the CRADLE VSA rollout team in the delivery of the project, and overseeing the accurate and timely collection and monitoring of project data.

This exciting position would suit an experienced midwife, with extensive knowledge of, and experience working in, rural and urban communities and health facilities in Sierra Leone. The Technical Co-ordinator will lead the delivery of training for health care staff on the use of the CRADLE VSA device and associated maternal health care aspects, such as blood pressure measurement and shock. Job description

Welbodi Partnership is recruiting a Paediatric Nurse Training Co-ordinator to lead the organisation's Paediatric Nurse Training Programme in the Ola During Children's Hospital in Freetown. The Co-ordinator will support the hospital to improve patient safety and health outcomes for children by increasing both the volume and the quality of Continuing Professional Development among nursing staff. This will be achieved through co-ordinating the staged introduction of CPD modules in identified areas and supporting the development of a postgraduate paediatric nursing qualification. The Co-ordinator will provide oversight and operational support to Welbodi Partnership’s Paediatric Nurse Trainers to ensure the effective design and implementation of CPD modules. The Co-ordinator will work closely with hospital management, support leadership development initiatives, and collaborate with the Ministry of Health andSanitation, the West African College of Nursing (WACN), and other relevant stakeholders to support the development of a postgraduate paediatric nursing qualification in Sierra Leone. The Nurse Training Co-ordinator will actively contribute to the development of mechanisms to strengthen the health system and embed within it a positive learning environment.

This exciting position would suit a Paediatric Nurse with management experience who will divide their time between supporting the coordination, design, implementation and quality assurance of clinical education through Continuing Professional Development, systems strengthening and also directly engage in Quality Improvement activities. The Co-ordinator will support and mentor ODCH’s Head of Nurse Training, in helping to ensure the continuous implementation of high-quality in-service training for nurses. The post-holder will support the MoHS to drive the development of a nationally-recognised accredited postgraduate training programme in paediatric nursing. The Nurse Training Co-ordinator will also support the Paediatric Oncology programme, which is run in partnership between ODCH and the Cardiff and Vales University Health Board.
